an apron for my sister

My sister Czel, she loves cooking.  And I have been thinking of giving her an apron that she can use whenever she cooks.

Finally, after a long time of thinking what pattern I can use, I have decided to make one like this...

I hope she likes it....

Alterations done...

These are my friend's, she asked me to do alterations for each of them.  The white was a long sleeved polo, but since summer is coming she asked me to shorten a bit the sleeves.  I was thinking of retaining the cuff but then I decided to give it a different look, so I put a gather instead.  And the Black dress, it was a long dress, it was just shorten a bit, below the knee, but i put something at the back of the dress to give it a shape when worn.  And the excess from the shorten dress I made a scarf, rather than throwing it.

I really hope she liked them...

More to come...

Another remake

This one is a pull-over jacket which a friend gave.  I damaged the zip and can no longer wear it.  So I kept it inside the closet for sometime as do not throw anything right away specially if it came from a someone I care about.  But one day as I was cleaning my closet, I saw it, suddenly the idea sparked and whala... the rest is history.

Here it is now, after more than an hour of working on it.

Love it.

Inspired by Tea Rose Home

I have a sweater which is too loose for me,  I had that one when I was pregnant with my son Rei. I was thinking of putting it in safe since I could not wear it,  then I remembered reading 1 of Tea Rose Home blogs about converting a shirt into a cardigan.  I tried it my self, following her instructions, and here's my result.

Fron view

I like it so much that I can now use what I thought would be inside the closet for some time.  As the cloth is nice I can still wear it anytime I want it.

Thanks to Ms. Sachiko of Tea Rose Home ....
